Nitro adds a handful of helpers on top of Blueshift’s Email Studio, so you can move faster and spend less time on tedious QA.
Six tools to improve your editing experience.
Gmail Clipping Guard
A live size meter on your email warns before the HTML crosses Gmail’s ~102 KB clip point, where the rest disappears behind “View entire message.” Works in the Email Builder and on every email inside a journey.
Clip detection without the test sends Docs ▸
Unsaved Changes Indicator
Blueshift’s Save button is always enabled, so you don’t always know if a tab is safe to close or not. Nitro flags which tabs have unsaved changes, and shows a visual indicator next to the save button and on your browser tabs.
Great for tab hoarders Docs ▸
Shared Asset Configurator
Turn static shared assets into configurable modules your team will love to use. Add a small config schema to the asset and Nitro renders a no-code configuration UI, with a live preview, then writes the block straight back into your template.
Custom reusable blocks Docs ▸
Vertical Rhythm
Cloned templates accumulate ad-hoc padding, throwing off the vertical rhythm of your designs. Define a rhythm ruleset once and Nitro rewrites top and bottom padding across every row, column and block to match, with a dry-run preview before you commit.
One-click cleanup Docs ▸
Dark Mode Preview
Scan for any text/background color combos that might cause issues in dark mode. Simulate different dark mode color inversion models, calibrated from real inbox renders, without mailing yourself a test.
Experimental (feedback wanted!) Docs ▸
Liquid Highlighting
Color your Liquid syntax right in the editor, so template code is clean and readable at a glance instead of flat gray text.
Make your Liquid readable Docs ▸
Private by design.
Nitro runs entirely inside your browser. It has no servers of its own, sends nothing to anyone, and never saves your email content or account data.
No tracking, no external servers
There’s no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party services. The only permission Nitro requests is local storage.
Your content never leaves Blueshift
To power the features, Nitro reads your templates and shared assets from Blueshift’s own API, in your existing session, and stores none of it.
Only your settings are saved
The single thing kept on disk is your own preferences (which features are on and their options), in Chrome’s storage, synced to your account, nowhere else.
No lock-in, ever
Everything Nitro writes into a template is ordinary Liquid anyone could have typed by hand. Uninstall the extension and every template still renders exactly the same.

Made from real, hands-on work.
I build and ship emails in Blueshift day to day, and Nitro grew out of that hands-on work. Each feature simplifies something tedious or helps you catch a mistake before it goes out: sizing an email for Gmail, keeping padding consistent across clones, configuring a shared asset without hand-editing Liquid. Small helpers that make a good editor even better, so you can move faster and ship with more confidence.
Want it before everyone else?
Nitro is in the final polishing stages before its Chrome Web Store debut. Email me and I’ll send you the extension with install instructions, plus you’ll get first crack at new features. Nitro grows from real feedback, so ideas and bug reports are welcome too.
