Nitro Terms of Service

The agreement

The short version: Nitro is provided as is, free of charge. It edits your email templates only when you ask it to, but you are the one shipping the emails, so always review before you save and send.

These terms apply when you install or use the Nitro for Blueshift Chrome extension (“Nitro”), built and maintained by Chris Fletcher (“the developer”). By installing or using Nitro you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the extension.

What Nitro is

Nitro is an independent browser extension that adds helper tools on top of Blueshift’s Email Studio, such as a size meter, unsaved-change indicators, a shared-asset configurator, padding cleanup, dark-mode preview, and Liquid highlighting. Nitro is not made by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Blueshift or BEE Content Design. It works alongside their products but is a separate, unofficial tool.

Your license to use Nitro

The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Nitro with a Blueshift account you are authorized to use. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell, or reverse engineer the extension except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.

Your responsibilities

• Use Nitro only with Blueshift accounts and workspaces you have permission to access, and in line with your organization’s policies and Blueshift’s own terms.
• Some features (for example the Shared Asset Configurator and Vertical Rhythm) modify your email templates when you apply them. Changes happen only when you choose to apply or save, but the results are your responsibility: review your templates before saving, and review your emails before sending.
• You are responsible for the content of any email you build or send, whether or not Nitro was involved in building it.

Third-party services

Nitro operates on top of services owned by others, including Blueshift and the BEE editor. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, not these. Because Nitro depends on how those services work today, features may stop working, partly or entirely, if those services change. The developer will try to keep up, but cannot promise Nitro will always work with future versions of Blueshift or BEE.

Privacy

Nitro collects no data and has no servers. What it accesses and stores locally is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

No warranty

Nitro is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that Nitro will be error-free or uninterrupted, that it will catch every issue in your emails (a size meter or dark-mode preview is a helper, not a guarantee), or that any template change it applies will be correct for your use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or damaged templates and campaigns, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Nitro, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Nitro in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free extension, is zero). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes

The developer may update, change, or discontinue Nitro, or any of its features, at any time. These terms may also be revised; the date at the top reflects the latest version, and continuing to use Nitro after a revision means you accept it. If you stop agreeing with the terms at any point, your remedy is to uninstall the extension.
